U.S. drone delivery operators and companies to watch
The commercial drone-delivery market is no longer a collection of demonstrations. U.S. operators now include certificated air carriers, large logistics platforms, retailers and technology companies building dedicated aircraft and delivery infrastructure.
FAA-certificated package-delivery operators
The FAA’s package-delivery program identifies operators including Wing Aviation, UPS Flight Forward, Amazon Prime Air, Zipline, Causey Aviation Unmanned, DroneUp and Drone Express/DEXA. DoorDash announced in July 2026 that DoorDash Labs had also received Part 135 air-carrier certification for DoorDash Air.
Amazon Prime Air
Amazon is integrating drone delivery directly into its retail fulfillment network. Its 2026 expansion plans make Prime Air one of the most consequential tests of drone delivery at mass-market scale.
Wing
Alphabet’s Wing is an early U.S. Part 135 operator and a major participant in suburban last-mile delivery, combining aircraft, delivery infrastructure and merchant partnerships.
Zipline
Zipline has built autonomous logistics networks around healthcare and consumer delivery, using fixed-wing and newer point-to-point delivery architectures.
Causey Aviation / Flytrex
Causey Aviation Unmanned operates commercial delivery services using Flytrex technology and has received authorization for BVLOS package-delivery operations.
DroneUp
DroneUp received Part 135 authority in 2024 and has operated on-demand package delivery using its Prism aircraft platform.
Drone Express / DEXA
Drone Express received Part 135 authority in 2025 for on-demand small-package delivery, adding another independent operator to the U.S. market.

The durable competitive advantage in drone delivery is unlikely to come from an aircraft alone. The strongest networks combine regulatory authority, reliable autonomy, fleet operations, fulfillment integration, merchant or healthcare demand, ground infrastructure and enough delivery density to make the economics work.
